Vivian Hsu: Taiwanese Nude Model, Actress & Singer

Vivian Hsu (徐若瑄; Xú Ruòxuān) is a Chinese actress and singer who has been credited under a number of names, including Vivian Xu, Hsu Jo Hsuan, Hsu Shu Juan, Hsu Ruo Xuan, Xu Ruo Xuan, Tsui Yeuk-Suen, and Kazuma.
Vivian was born in Taiwan in 1975 and won a local beauty contest in 1990 while she held a job delivering food by bicycle.
Her discovery led to her becoming a member of Shào nǔ Dùi (少女隊; Girls Team), a musical trio that released two albums in the early 1990s.
Vivian also began modeling and appeared in a nude photobook Angel Heart in 1995, which brought her increased recognition and popularity in Taiwan, Hong Kong and Japan. Like fellow Taiwanese actress Shu Qi, Vivian parlayed her nude modeling fame into a long-term successful career although Vivian hasn't had quite the degree of acting success as Shu Qi.
Vivian appeared in 2 follow-up photobooks, Venus and Angel and starred in two Category III films, Devil Angel and Angel Heart (赤裸天使; Chi Lǔo Tiānshǐ).

Unfortunately, Vivian decided to stop doing nude modeling and returned to singing and acting in the late 90s. Vivian found popularity in Japan, where she spent a good amount of time in the early to mid-2000s performing and hosting TV variety shows.
In addition to her own songs, Vivian has co-written songs for other popular Chinese singers such as Vanness Wu, Gigi Leung and Jay Chou.
Vivian has also appeared in a few movies and TV series in Taiwan and Japan such as The Accidental Spy (with Jackie Chan), You're Place or Mine, L-O-V-E... Love, The Knot, If You Are The One (非诚勿扰; Fēichéng Wùrǎo; hugely popular romantic drama starring Shu Qi), Hot Summer Days, and Seediq Bale (2011 release). Vivian also starred in the TV series Love Storm, for which she composed and sang the opening theme song Decide to Love You (決 定愛你; Juédìng Ài Nǐ).
Most recently, Vivian returned to Japan after a 7 year absence, releasing a new single, Beautiful Day, on March 3, 2010.Vivian Hsu is now 35 years old and still looks gorgeous. Although its been a while since she found her initial fame by posing nude, Vivian's early photos remain so we can still enjoy her full captivating beauty.

  2. Well, Vivian Hsu is a Taiwanese actress, singer and model. She was a gravure idol when she entered the field, but no where close to a pornstar.

At last, Vivian Hsu is a Taiwanese and not a Chinese. Hence "Vivian Xu", "Hsu Ruo Xuan" and "Xu Ruo Xuan" are not the correct representations of her name.

  4. Um, you're a stupid fuck. Chinese is not even a language. It's Mandarin.
And Taiwanese and Chinese are totally different. Go read up on your history.
And just because someone makes money in China doesn't mean they are Chinese. Do you see a bunch of white people running around in China making money and calling themselves Chinese?
Don't talk shit about something you don't even know.

  6. To the overly proud taiwanese above, you're stupid and ignorant.. learn difference between ethnicity and nationality.. her nationality is taiwanese, but her ethnicity is chinese, she is chinese, 98% of taiwanese are chinese... speak chinese, have chinese name. don't make your ancestor ashamed of yourself!

  7. To the ignorant wanker above:
There is a thing called the Taiwanese aborigines in Taiwan, and most Taiwanese people are mixed with aboriginal blood. So not 98% of Taiwanese people are chinese like ur ignorant comment says. Go do more research before u yap along with ur stupid comments. And just you know, she introduces herself using the Chinese version of her name to Chinese people, likewise she would use the Japanese version of her name when in Japan. Duh!!

There's no higher grading from a Taiwanese chinese to a china chinese...really...Dun Tink highly of yrself as a Taiwanese. My stupid n ignorant wife wld sing highly on her Damn taiwan n criticise china for "poisonous milk" and unscrupulous business. And after her country's "poisonous pearl drink" is out of the bag, she kept her Damn mouth shut. Told her whether taiwan or china, there's jus black sheep. So stop singing taiwan!!! I depise!!!!

  10. Vivian is a Taiwanese Aborigine and doesn't have much from Chinese. I know it's hard to understand but to put it into context, would Peruvian aborigines from the Andes count as Spanish because they were colonized by them and forced to speak their language? That is pretty much her tribe's case.

  11. It's not impt if she's taiwanese chinese or taiwanese aborigine. All taiwanese shd not put themselves higher in grades. I couldn't tahan my taiwanese ' s arrogant and 目中无人 attitude, a fierce wife too. I had another friend who just married a taiwanese wife and felt Damn proud abt being able to woo n marry her. What's the BIG DEAL!!! I told him, I married one for 15 years and had regretted since the 1st year.

Yellow skin human being who only know how to speak mandarin. Both oso had bad sheep using poison to poison their own people n others.
And I think china pp are more humble than taiwanese. They can't speak English, they wld say they r not gd in chinese. Taiwanese tried to act smart, English Damn lousy, still tell pp they r gd. I had 1 haolian taiwanese gf, she cld use these words anyhow she likes....reserve, conserve, deserve, observe....
