Lisa Ling Investigates Porn on Oprah

I'm usually not an Oprah viewer, but I happened to catch part of her show today which was about, guess what - porn. The show wasn't about Asian porn, but it did have Chinese-American reporter Lisa Ling (former co-host of The View), who investigated why more women are watching porn.
I'm not sure if Oprah is finally getting hard up for viewers and needs to use the porn theme for that reason, but the porn industry couldn't have paid for better publicity. The impression you get from the show is that porn has empowered women. While it may do that for some, Oprah didn't mention any of the negatives. Oprah interviewed Jenna Jameson, who talked about how lucrative her porn career was. However, Oprah didn't mention that Jenna is the exception and most porn actresses don't make anything near what Jenna did.

The show also points out that the Internet has led to porn finding its way into more and more homes (now there's a news flash) and that, in addition to all of us male porn pervs, 1 in 3 women look for porn online. OK, enough of the exceptionally overrated Oprah and back to Lisa Ling (I'm not sure if she's much more of a reporter than Oprah, but at least she looks much better).

To find out how porn is changing and why women are more open to the experience, Lisa Ling visited adult film sets and spoke to industry insiders. Her conclusion: "Ther's no question that more and more women are watching and buying erotica and porn."
Here's a clip of Lisa interviewing some blonde porn star
According to the lovely looking Ms. Ling, "Now there is porn that is being produced specifically for women by women, in some cases, and it just looks different. It feels different. There's more of a storyline. It's more romantic." Well, if Lisa ever gets tired of doing stupid shows like Oprah and The View, maybe she'll start producing (and starring in) some romantic porn that men and women could all enjoy.
